Kristallnacht (Nov 9, 1938 – Nov 10, 1938) Germany remembers the Kristallnacht ("Night of broken glass"). 80 years ago thousands of shop windows of Jewish shops were smashed by the Nazis, Jews were beaten up, synagogues were burnt. This and the ensuing holocaust were the results of a government that singled out a group of people as enemies of the state, denied a free press, and fed the public daily propaganda lies. I never believed it could happen in our country -- now I am witness that it can!
